Great is knowing you have a way to get her there. Great is having a wide variety of options to pay for college. Great is being able to supplement your savings with student loans if necessary.

At CME, we know college is expensive, and can often require more than what you have saved to pay for it. So, we offer access to several student loan options:

• Federal Subsizidized and Unsubsidized Stafford Loans
• PLUS loans
• Home Equity Loans

Follow the steps below and links to forms and instructions to begin the loan process. Some of the following links require that you have Adobe Reader. It's free, and available here.

Students can complete the Stafford Master Promissory Note on-line.

Beginning the application process:

1. Begin by reading the Student Loan Quick Reference Guide (PDF).
2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This must be done prior to applying for any student loan. You can fill it out and submit it online by selecting "Filling out a FAFSA" at the FAFSA website. The FAFSA form is also available at your high school or college guidance counselor's office.
3. Fill out and print the online Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note (PDF). The Stafford Master Promissory Note will be used for all of your loans over multiple academic years at the same school.
4. Mail the Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note to:
   Credit Union Student Loan Network
   Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation
   P.O. Box 182174
   Columbus, OH 43218-2174

Parents can complete the on-line PLUS Master Promissory Note, which allows parents to borrow for dependent children.
